Frequently Asked Questions
-
During our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy and what you’re hoping to get out of the process. I’ll ask about your background, relationships, and experiences to better understand what has shaped you and what you’re navigating now. It’s also a chance for us to get to know each other and see if my approach feels like a good fit. If additional support or resources would be helpful, I’m happy to help you explore options that fit your needs.
-
Most clients start by meeting with me once a week. As we get a better sense of what you need, we can adjust the frequency of sessions based on your goals and what feels most helpful.
-
I bring a warm, relational, and creative approach to therapy. I’m interested not only in what you’re experiencing now, but also in understanding the relationships and experiences that have shaped you. My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself while also having room to reflect, try new things, and make meaningful changes.

Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes, and couples sessions are 60 minutes. This gives us enough time to slow down, talk through what’s going on, and make space for the things that may be harder to unpack.
-
Yes! I work with both individuals and couples. Whether you’re working through something within a relationship or want to better understand your own patterns and experiences, therapy can be a space to explore how your relationships have shaped you and how you want to move forward.
-
Your privacy is an important part of creating a space where you can feel comfortable being open and honest. What you share in therapy is confidential, with some legal and ethical exceptions that we’ll talk about at the beginning of therapy, which are threat of harm to yourself or others, child, elder, or disabled person, or if a court subpoenas my records, I will also need to make an exception in confidentiality.
-
My fee is $175 for individual therapy and $200 for couples therapy. I’m happy to provide a superbill if you’d like to use your out-of-network benefits for possible reimbursement. I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on availability.
-
Yes! I am in-network with most Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna plans for individual therapy.
Couples therapy is typically not covered by insurance and is offered as a self-pay service.
If you have questions about your coverage, payment, or what your plan may cover, feel free to reach out and I’m happy to help.
-
That’s completely okay. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. A consultation can be a chance to share a little about what’s going on, ask questions, and get a sense of whether therapy and my approach feel like the right fit for you.
